Undiscovered Lands
Somewhere south of the Southern Ocean lies a landmass of unknown size and shape. A small fleet of ships has just shipwrecked on its northern shores. These are the Undiscovered Lands.
Discovery Province
This is the stretch of the Undiscovered Lands which the PCs have shipwrecked on. This land is primarily grasslands with a few rolling hills and the odd forest dotted around in it. The climate appears temperate with warm days and cool evenings. Rains are common, feeding the single major river which leads down into the lake out of the centralized hills. On a clear day, from the top of the highest hills in the province, one can just make out what look like towering mountains in the far distance to the south.
Shipwreck Cove
This is the initial site of the shipwreck the PCs were involved in. It will be "Home base" until something better can be found. A sandy shore leading to dunes, with high cliffs above. A large and ominous ruins rises majestically from the top of the cliff above. A shipwreck sits off shore. Giant crabs and sharks are a menace to the people living here. There is no real edible fruit or plant life in the cove. Food in terms of fishing. A certain amount of wood (wrecks). There is a lack of fresh water and variety of food. Proper lumber for repairing or rebuilding a ship is also lacking.
Castle On The Mount
There is a castle on the top of the mount above Shipwreck Cove. It is ruined but still very defensible and would make an excellent base for them and their dependents/associates, once renovated. The PCs have to enter it, search it, overcome any obstacles or environmental 'traps' and make it safe for moving into.
In the process they will discover this castle was built by humans a thousand years ago. They may find out that the humans created immortal Naga using powerful rituals. They might discover the tomb of a Dragon deep below the castle.
From the top of the mount they will also be able to see as far as the hills to the south and the hills to the south west, giving them about 10-12 miles of vision across the lands nearby.
Once home to a Dragon Lord. This was where the Dragon Lord buried his dragon upon its death. This place fell into disrepair when the owner died, about 1,000 years ago.
